Apple and Google both agree that location-tracking devices like Apple's Air Tags pose privacy concerns

AirTag is an electronic device that is  attached to items like keys, wallets, or backpacks and helps locate them in the event they get lost

AirTag, however, has been criticized for allowing stalking and surveillance as it can track someone without their consent or knowledge

Apple has installed several security features that ensure AirTags aren't used maliciously

Google has adopted a slightly different strategy to address AirTag security concerns. Google, instead of adding new features or settings to Android devices, has simplified the process for Android users in detecting and disabling unknown AirTags
