We talk a lot about recycling, reprocessing and upgrading but seldom do we talk about on the dumping process of the computers that are an indispensable part in the office. Do all of us in real, consciously effect upon this problem. What I am about to say may sound a believe it or not statement to some. But the core of reality is that many offices, housing apartments, independent homes and even hospitals do not have even satisfactory disposal alternatives. Have we ever wondered as to where do the waste go after being handled over to the government agencies or the private channels responsible for the ultimate disposal of the e-waste?

Well, before I jump onto satisfying your query let me give you a shocking surprise. Trash cans are found dumped with batteries that are in every way hazardous to nature and human health. Not all organizations do take the necessary steps to dispose off e-waste in the requisite manner. But, do all enterprises make sure their e-waste goes to the correct disposal locations? But if you deem your sustainable work ends as reliable then I propose you to re-ponder them. E-waste disposal has become a serious issue that calls for first rate attention.

During my visit a few weeks ago to the headquarters of A3Logics I came to know about the process of disposal of e-waste. Curious to discern where the waste went after it left the A3Logics office, I had a word with the facilities manager. He explained me the whole end-to-end process including gathering, clearance and how the waste was handled. I found that not only was the waste aptly put together, it was screened to make certain that it was handled in the approved manner after leaving their hands. Kudos to A3Logics office!

Points to Ponder
The following will help in the correct disposal of e-waste provided these steps are strictly adhered to and unfailingly attempted.

  • Opt for a provider that suits your need accurately
  • Scrutinize and Inspect
  • Perk up your processes to ascertain that your company’s e-waste is appropriately processed
  • If required, trail your container and track your e-waste
  • Reassuring the right dumping of this nature of waste is a must
  • Relevant policy pertaining to the same should be followed by all of us, especially for an enterprise that presents itself as working in a sustainable mode
